Urban Mixed Use Design

Relocation to Harbor Island, Seattle’s hub of shipping commerce, reunited Crowley’s Seattle administrative offices with its marine services operations in one renovated building and one new building along the shore of Elliott Bay.

New workplace designs feature generous, open office work environments that support and nourish the transition in corporate culture from traditional private office organization to a team-based approach. Offices, where they occur, are highly transparent and provide views of Seattle and exposure to daylight from the open office areas.

Display models and the signature yellow and red colors of the Crowley marine fleet accent the office space, reinforcing the corporate brand. Contemporary design with an industrial aesthetic features exposed wood and steel structure and marine influenced finishes and fixtures. In combination with the views of the tugboats docked outside, the office environment is connected to the history, identity and operations of the company.
