Seattle’s iconic Carkeek Park features an lush upland park space and a spectaular west-facing beach in the Salish Sea, connected by a unique pedestrian bridge. The new bridge replaces an aging structure and will provide an accessible pedestrian experience over the coastal BNSF railway towards an outlook overlooking Puget Sound. Stairs leading to the beach will provide connectivity to one of the area’s most beloved urban beaches. Final design for this project is ongoing.
