Park(ing) Day 2010: “Play Day”

Who wants to hit a golf ball down a scale model of Seattle’s infamous Alaskan Way Viaduct? We certainly do. For 2010, LMN took on the task of building a cost-effective yet fun and interactive park that creatively repurposed things we already had around our office.

Games included: laser-cut acrylic scraps assembled to create a giant Connect Four board; salvaged pine 2×4’s cut and sanded into jumbo Jenga; presentation boards repurposed as excellent targets for a beanbag fish toss; and of course a scrapped 16th-scale model of the viaduct recast as a putt-putt obstacle.
