“Perched on a high bluff at the confluence of Puget Sound and the Snohomish River lies Everett, Wash., a working city known for its rich history. For more than a century, the city had been disconnected from its waterfront, which is home to a naval shipyard and a growing mixed-use district. The new $20 million Grand Avenue Park Bridge, designed by Seattle-based LMN Architects in collaboration with Seattle-based KPFF Consulting Engineers, was designed to repair this divide, and transforms the walk for pedestrians into what its designers call ‘an experience of discovery’.”
