“The Interactive Learning Pavilion comprises two main volumes that flank an east–west circulation corridor. The project is designed to achieve a natural flow between the university’s Library Mall and Science Walk, with outdoor spaces that take advantage of the coastal environment and Southern California’s warm climate. ‘This open-air paseo interconnects the functions of the two masses, providing outdoor terraces, stairs, bridges, and collaboration spaces designed to encourage serendipitous interactions and collaboration among students and faculty,’ says LMN Architects.”
