The Diego Rivera Theater
City College of San Francisco

“The case will be in a glass-front lobby designed specifically for the wall painting to face the public on Frida Kahlo Avenue at City College. Seattle architect Sam Miller of LMN has been working on the design of Diego Rivera Theatre since 2005, before it was derailed by the 2008 recession and a loss of funding.

“Now that the project will be paid for by a city bond measure and with a construction date set, Miller has offered The Chronicle a preview of the wall painting as it will look when the new building opens as early as 2027.”
