Sonja brings nearly two decades of design and project management experience spanning a diverse range of project types, including workplace tenant improvements, education, healthcare, hospitality, and retail facilities. A thoughtful collaborator, Sonja strives to create strong project partnerships to effectively support clients, internal teams, and consultants to ensure that every aspect of her project is well thought out. Sonja excels at identifying functionality issues and determining the best use of space, working to design the best space flow to enhance the user experience while considering how the project responds to the context, environment, and cultural fabric of the community. Understanding the significant role that spaces play in our everyday lives, Sonja has centered her career around the human element of design, creating spaces that enhance the lives of users and support the ability to do their best work. Sonja received a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Architecture from the University of Colorado, Denver.

Her representative projects include The Diego Rivera Theater at City College of San Francisco, the Johnson Hall Demolition & Clark Hall Renovation at Washington State University, and the Norton Building Modernization.
