HELP WANTED: Computer Support Specialist

The computer support specialist provides technical and troubleshooting assistance related to desktop computer hardware and software, mobile devices, and other tech tools and products. This person must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to translate technical knowledge to laymen’s terms.  Problem solving skill is essential as is the ability to utilize available resources to research answers to unfamiliar challenges. Success is measured primarily on ability to follow issues through to successful resolution.


  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ customer service experience in helpdesk environment
  • Technical school or bachelor’s degree in related field a plus
  • Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, printing protocols, and basic networking principles including remote connectivity a must.
  • Familiarity with Smart Deploy, Adobe Suite, Autodesk Revit, Bluebeam, and Newforma is beneficial.


  • Configure and deploy all new client computing hardware including maintenance of current OS and application images.
  • Act as initial point of contact for all hardware and software support requests. (Support of Adobe and Autodesk products limited to configuration and installation.)
  • Support desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and IP phone system.
  • Install and maintain current software as needed.
  • Assist with video and web conferencing and other meetings that require extra IT support.
  • Troubleshoot printing issues.
  • Troubleshoot minor network issues.
  • Assist with external partner issues as needed.
  • Document process and procedures for publication in knowledge base.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
