Arts + Culture

We are passionate about arts + culture and strongly committed to the continuing success of our cultural institutions. Arts + culture projects present unique opportunities to embellish the substance of the arts and experience of the performance within the life of the community. We have continued to build on this focus through 50 arts + culture projects across the country—including major performing arts centers, concert halls, community theaters, music schools and a diversity of other venues.

From our continuing research and exploration in this typology, we have developed a highly refined methodology for the integration of architecture, acoustics, theater technology, and the performance experience. We have pioneered the use of new technologies to optimize operational flexibility, such as the fully automated, movable floor system installed in San Antonio’s Tobin Center for Performing Arts; and the innovative design and digital fabrication processes that we’ve employed for the new music school facility at the University of Iowa.
