Gross area: 99 acres

Project Status:

Completed 2008

The update creates a series of linked internal courtyards surrounded by a more informal, natural landscape that clarifies functional building relationships, enhances student activity and the educational dynamic within the campus core, and establishes a more clearly defined entrance to the inner campus.

Based on BC’s institutional vision, the plan for the 99-acre site provides a physical framework to guide the development of the college’s facilities and anticipated enrollment growth through 2018. Planning criteria and development guidelines encompass organization of academic programs, transportation systems, parking, utilities, building sites, open space and landscape design.

Given the confined boundaries of the campus, parking is relocated from surface lots to multi-level structures to more effectively utilize available property for academic facilities and community open space.
