Senior Interior Designer

LMN Architects is currently seeking outstanding candidates for the position of Senior Interior Designer. Candidates should be passionate about interior design, have a strong design sensibility and appreciate the process of articulating design through visualization and materiality.

  • Participate and lead interior design efforts on all project types.
  • Foster a collaborative professional working relationship with the entire project team.
  • Possess strong conceptualization skills that are used for team development of design solutions.
  • Develop space plans and programming documentation with project teams.
  • Prepare fee proposals including work plans identifying scope.
  • Provide insights into interior aspects of construction budgets.
  • Participate in the preparation of design and construction documents and advise on detailed solutions to interior architectural problems.
  • Participate in selected marketing and business development opportunities.
  • Provide professional development coaching and staff mentoring.
  • Interface with owners, contractors, and consultants.
  • Organize and prioritize own work efforts as well as assist with organizing team members, tasks, and meetings.
  • Develop and manage FFE design and procurement.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required.


  • Certified Interior Designer or Licensed Architect with 15+ years of experience in a firm focusing on similar market sectors.
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in interior design, architecture, or comparable field.
  • LEED certification is desirable as well as demonstration of a strong understanding of sustainable design, awareness of the WELL standard.
  • Proficient with finish material selection and specification as well as all aspects related to the documentation and detailing of interior architectural elements.
  • Proficient with aspects related to FFE package delivery and budgeting tasks.
  • Knowledge of building codes and building systems.
  • Expertise in workplace design and systems is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a highly collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational and analytical skills.
