Parking Facility
Bellevue College
A key component of the long-range development plans for the campus, this four-level parking facility allows the college to replace surface parking areas with academic facilities; accommodate the transportation needs of an increasing student population; and minimize the impact of automobiles on the campus experience.
Layers of transparent industrial metal screens, a glass enclosed elevator tower and waiting area, and perimeter pedestrian circulation animate the edges of the parking garage and interconnect it with the activity of the campus. Safety and security are enhanced through separation of pedestrian and vehicular circulation, and by providing clearly visible, well illuminated pathways.
